person's well-being and quality of life, but in Estonia we face a problem where many people do not have access to the help they need. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/inimareng.ee\/et\/eesti-inimarengu-aruanne-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Estonian Human Development Report 2023<\/b> <\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">points out that while mental health support should start with prevention and early intervention, many services are either inadequate or difficult to access.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/belongconstellations.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Belong<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was created specifically to make it easier to discover mental health services and events, and to help people to find the <\/span><b>the right support in the right place at the right time<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\"Within a year, one in five people around the world will experience mental health problems (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/inimareng.ee\/et\/vaimset-tervist-toetavad-tegevused-ja-teenused-eestis\/#Steel,%20Z.,%20Marnane,%20C.,%20Iranpour,%20C.,%20Chey,%20T.,%20Jackson,%20J.%20W.,%20Patel,%20V.,%20&amp;%20Silove,%20D.%20(2014)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steel et al 2014<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), the same ratio for the Estonian population of around 260 000 people per year. More than 140 000 people will have a mental disorder as a main or co-morbid diagnosis in the 2016-2020 treatment bill. It can therefore be concluded that more than 100 000 people do not seek or do not receive help from the health system for their mental health problem.\"  <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2><b>What are the main barriers to using mental health services?<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>1. Shortage of specialists and long queues<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The shortage of clinical psychologists, school psychologists and mental health nurses is a major problem in Estonia.
